Echoes of a Winter Past

Echoes of a Winter Past is a brief visual novel built with Ren'Py and Python for the Winter Visual Novel Jam 2023. It tells the story of an artificial life form, originally bound for a distant galaxy, who finds herself inadvertently stranded on Earth in the middle of a bone-chilling winter.

Determined to return home, our visitor instead encounters a series of unforeseen events that draw her into an unexpected bond with a warm-hearted family. What begins as a desperate mission to escape the unfamiliar planet slowly transforms into something far more human: the discovery of compassion, tradition, and the magic of finding home in the unlikeliest of places.

With a playtime of roughly 15 minutes and hand-crafted illustrations, character design, and UI by the developer, every scene is drenched in holiday warmth.
